Gothic Jewelry - Unusual and Grisly Designs

Grabbing attention immediately, most designs in gothic jewelry are unorthodox and eccentric. Choose from a range of striking necklaces, rings, pendants, bangles, bracelets, earrings, anklets, etc. Headdresses are unique and irreplaceable. Many other trinkets like brooches, metal buckles, chains, cufflinks are prevalent. Choker necklaces, usually made from velvet or leather, are very hot. Spiked dog collars are distinctive and can be worn by men also. Mystic and dark symbols of celtic and pagan origin adorn the sterling silver pieces. Gothic jewelry can also be made using pewter, beads, precious as well as semi-precious stones. Unusual symbols embedded in knick-knacks are crosses, spiders, skulls, crossbones, snakes, rosaries, pentagrams, ankhs, heart, bats, coffins, daggers, demon figures, fairies, etc.

Gothic Cross - Atypical Symbol

Crosses are carved on a lot of gothic baubles; they can be seen on necklaces, pendants, rings, bracelets, earrings, etc. There are many different types of crosses used. One such is the Goetia cross, an archaic symbol of the Grimoire of Goetia and it is known of bestow the power of intuition on the wearer. The Celtic cross or Irish cross has a ring along the four lines of the cross. Gothic Rings - Varied Styles

Rings are very popular in gothic jewelry and can be worn my men also. Especially the ones bearing skulls, serpents, fangs, dragons, and gargoyles look great on muscular men. The ones with celtic knots, hearts, flowers, filigree, rose shaped etchings, look best on women. Gothic rings have attractive precious and semi-precious stones embedded like garnets, amethysts, sapphires, diamonds, black onyx, etc. Clawed patterns to hold the stone in such rings enhance the morbid appeal. Rings are also made from silver or white gold and are inlaid with black colored patterns. Some pagan styles are made from yellow gold also. Plain solid thick bands with minimal designs go with this trend. They can be white, yellow, or black on color.
