Mens Footwear - Tips to Dress in Style

Shoes should blend with the color of the pants; they should be either of the same color or a shade darker than the pants. Shoes should complement the belt and if possible other accessories like wallets. Socks can match either the shoes or tie. Some basic styles in mens footwear are; dress shoes, boots, sandals, flip flops, and slip-ons. It is good to own two to four pair of shoes. Stock a pair of dress shoes, sport shoes, boots, and sandals as they can be coordinated with most outfits to create diversity. If you are fashion conscious, mens footwear is available in a number of styles and colors also.

Shoe for Men - Formal Wear

Patent shoes with a sleek appearance and a lustrous façade are best for formal wear. Although there are slip-on styled formal shoes, it is best to go for ones with laces. Black and brown are conventional colors for formal wear. Other good colors in formal shoe for men are navy, burgundy, grey, tan, beige, earthy brown, cream and white. Oxfords, derby, dress boots, are excellent for formal and semi casual occasions. Oxfords are great for black tie formal wear. A good shoe for men to go with office trousers are loafers. Cowboy or work boots are also good options. Derbys are great for semi casual occasions. You can either don a shirt or tee on the top.

Footwear for Men - Casuals

Casual dress shoes can be worn with trousers, jeans, shorts, khakis and slacks. Casual trousers like dockers, chinos, or khakis look good with loafers, sneakers, and sandals. Athletic footwear for men is great for gym, games, jogging track, shopping, strolls, etc. Boots, sneakers, loafers and sandals can be worn with jeans. You can get funky while wearing jeans and opt for a color that either matches or is in contrast with the jeans. Sandals are open footwear and they can be teamed with shorts, three fourths, casual trousers to the beach, day parties, malls, etc. Flip flops are also great for summers. Put together slips-ons or boat shoes with shorts, khakis, and casual trousers.
